Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (CSE:PMET, Not Rated, David A. Talbot) released the final set of core assays from the 2022 winter drilling campaign (4,345m) at its 100%-owned Corvette Li project in Quebec. Highlight results from these drill holes included 1) 1.22% Li2O and 138 ppm Ta2O5 over 152.8m including 1.51% Li2O and 100 ppm Ta2O5 over 66.0m (CV22-030), which was the best intercept reported to date at Corvette, 2) 1.45% Li2O and 177 ppm Ta2O5 over 84.0m, including 3.62% Li2O and 200 ppm Ta2O5 over 9.0m (CV22-028), and 3) 0.95% Li2O and 158 ppm Ta2O5 over 31.6m, including 2.90% Li2O and 356 ppm Ta2O5 over 5.4m (CV22-029). Drill holes CV22-030 and CV-22-028 were collared ~700m apart and are interpreted to have intersected the same pegmatite body, which demonstrates the scale of the mineralized system. Drill hole CV22-028 was a 50m step-back to CV22-027 and suggests that the zone of lithium mineralization is widening with depth and increasing in grade. Drill Hole CV22-030 targeted the CV5 pegmatite at depth and tested other areas along the trend, which is also interpreted to be widening with depth. We note that the main pegmatite body here is estimated to exceed 100m in thickness. The final hole of the program, CV22-034, targeted the west end of the CV5 pegmatite outcrop at depth. However, drilling at the hole was put on a regional pause in respect to goose hunting season, as requested by the local communities. Overall, the program supports the interpretation of a large, dominantly spodumene bearing, pegmatite body, and has extended the lithium mineralized pegmatite over a strike length of at least 1.4km. The main pegmatite body appears to have a vertical depth of at least 180m and an additional pegmatite encountered down to a vertical depth of ~265m, while thickness appears to range from ~15-20m near-surface, and to more than 100m at depth beneath the CV5 pegmatite. The pegmatite body also remains open in all directions and looks to be widening with depth. Moreover, the summer/fall phase of the 2022 drill campaign commenced in early June with two drill rigs, while a surface exploration program has already started earlier this week with detailed mapping over the CV5-1 pegmatite corridor, which is expected to be followed by prospecting and mapping over more than 25km across the property.
