Noram Lithium Corp. (TSXV:NRM, BUY, C$5.50 target, Alina Islam and David A. Talbot) has completed the first hole of its 10-hole (~2,200m) drill program at its 100%-owned Zeus Li-clay project, located in Clayton Valley, Nevada (read notable). Drilled to a depth of ~169m, hole CVZ-82 is one of the deepest holes completed on the property and intersected ~103m of favourable claystones and volcanics, including lithologies not encountered in previous drill campaigns. One notable intersection was a deep tuffaceous layer, thought to be the source of lithium in the host mudstones at shallower levels. Assays remain pending. While one of the objectives of this program is to intersect a potential, second, high-grade zone, beneath the existing high-grade core of the Zeus deposit (read notable), the company is also conducting step out drilling to better define existing areas. Holes 82 and 83 (currently in progress and located ~250m south of hole 82) represent step out holes to the NW of the deposit, while one hole (CVZ-084) is planned to test a potential structure on the SE side of the deposit, once drilling in the NW has been completed.
