ATHA Energy Corp. (TSXV:SASK) – Notable News

April 12, 2024

ATHA Energy Corp. (TSXV:SASK, Not Rated, David A. Talbot) has successfully completed its acquisition of 92 Energy Ltd. It also announced plans for a three-phased 2024 exploration program at the now acquired Gemini project in the Athabasca Basin, adding details to high-level plans disclosed when 92E shareholders approved the transaction (read note). Phase I covers geophysical surveys, including a recently completed ground gravity survey that demonstrated the continuation of alteration associated with the GMZ discovery to the southwest and large gravity anomalies on parallel conductors. An ongoing ANT survey is also expected to be completed by April-end. Phase II would cover target development and drilling optimization. Results from Phase I and previous programs and an ongoing structural study on the controls of mineralization will be compiled into a detailed 3D geological model, which will be coupled with ATHA’s proprietary machine learning process to de-risk and advance drill targets. Phase III would cover a ~8,000m drill program commencing in mid-Q3/24 to expand the GMZ discovery (~4,000m) and test regional targets on the GMZ trend (4,000m). The GMZ project is the main focus of ATHA’s 2024 ambitious exploration program (read notable), which, with a C$30M budget is likely to be THE largest exploration program in the basin this year. The 2024 program plan also includes resource expansion drilling and regional airborne geophysics at the 43Mlbs U3O8 Angilak project in Nunavut. Read here and here
