Atomic Minerals Corp. (TSXV:ATOM, Not Rated, David A. Talbot) announced the appointment of Mr. Richard H. Dorman as an independent director to the company’s board. Mr. Dorman has more than 46 years of experience as a uranium executive and exploration geologist and is highly regarded in the industry. He has extensive experience with sediment-hosted mineralized deposits in CO, WY, UT, AZ and NEV and was previously the Vice-President, Exploration at Universal Uranium Ltd. His previous experience also includes working for Getchell (subsidiary of Placer Dome), and with uranium explorers Plateau Resources and Atlas Minerals, as well as producers such as Orano Mining. Atomic Minerals is a unique uranium exploration company that we believe differentiates itself from other early-stage explorers with plans to advance projects in both Canada’s Athabasca Basin and the prolific Colorado Plateau in the US. Its flagship project, Lloyd Lake uranium project, hosts 8.5km of structural uranium targets about 90km SW of the Arrow and Triple R deposits in the SW Athabasca. Mr. Dorman’s appointment will surely help improve the company’s ability to find projects in the USA. Atomic also has the Gravity Jack Cu-Fe skarn project in BC. Read more
