Impact: Positive
Barton Gold reported results from the seismic survey, completed at its brownfield Tarcoola Au project in South Australia, which hosts the past-producing Perseverance mine. The survey indicated that the larger scale mineralization is associated with deeper-tapping, sub-vertical structures similar to the Perseverance fault. The company has mapped several of these structures and plans to follow up on high-priority targets in the upcoming drill program in early 2024. Since mineralization at Tarcoola is structurally controlled, we believe identification of the new structures parallel to the Perseverance fault indicates the potential to delineate additional mineralization in the sparsely explored areas of the property. The seismic survey has improved the understanding of the mineralizing system at Tarcoola and should help Barton to define better targets for its drill program.
