Baselode Energy Corp. (TSXV:FIND, BUY (S), David A. Talbot) announced assay results from the first set (twenty-one drill holes) at the 2022 diamond drill program on the ACKIO high-grade uranium discovery at its 100%-owned Hook project in northern Saskatchewan. Highlight results include: 1) 0.55% U3O8 over 13.2m including 0.99% U3O8 over 6.3m (AK22-032), 2) 0.69% U3O8 over 3.6m including 1.26% U3O8 over 0.5m (AK22-011), and 3) 0.28% U3O8 over 10.5m including 0.51% U3O8 over 2.0m (AK22-009). Notably, eight of the 44 holes that hit radioactivity have now been reported, with assays pending from 36 more holes. The company previously reported scintillometer results from an additional 14 holes in late June (read more), and from the final sixteen holes from the 2022 diamond drilling program in August (read more). We note that results are better than management anticipated with considerable mineralization being intersected. Five of the drill holes intersected mineralization of >10m in core length and a few have multiple intercepts, with five hitting grades of greater than 0.5% U3O8. Mineralization occurs in thick, stacked zones within 100-200m depth. As drilling progresses, management believes that further shallow mineralization will be defined. The ACKIO discovery lies about 400m to the south and along strike of 92 Energy (ASX:92E, Not Rated) Gemini discovery that returned up to 0.12% U3O8 over 5.5m. Read more
