Brixton Metals Corp. (TSXV:BBB, BUY, C$0.65 target, Taylor Combaluzier) announced that it has commenced its 2021 exploration program at its 100%-owned Thorn Cu-Au-Ag-Mo project in the Golden Triangle. Brixton plans to drill ~8,000m at the core of the Camp Creek Cu-Au-Ag-Mo porphyry, the Trapper high-grade Au target, and the Outlaw Au trend. It intends to drill deep 1,000-1,500m holes at Camp Creek (4,000-5,000m) to intersect the suspected core of the porphyry at depth (previous holes showed increasing Cu and Mo grades with depth, read more). At Trapper, it plans to drill 20-40 shallow core holes (2,000-3,000m) with the objective of making a potential Au discovery and to expand the existing multi-km trend defined by 42 holes drilled in 2011 (+8,500m). It also plans to connect the Central (600m strike) and East targets at Outlaw by drilling broadly spaced, shallow holes (1,000-2,000m). Previously, Brixton extended the Central Outlaw target to 600m in strike length and intersected higher-grade mineralization at the West Outlaw target (read more). Brixton’s Phase 1 program at Thorn is also planned to include: 1) 330km2 of MMT and magnetic geophysical surveys, 2) soil and rock geochemical surveys along with geological mapping, 3) collaboration with UBC’s Mineral Deposit Research Unit to research porphyry fertility and vectoring, 4) construction & camp upgrades, and 5) establishing a satellite camp for the Metla Cu-Au target area for a potential Phase 2 program. The Metla target is a newly consolidated camp scale Cu-Au porphyry target where Brixton’s objective is to define drill targets, infill and expand Cu-Au anomalies using soil and rock geochemical surveys, and to conduct geological and alteration mapping to vector towards the core of system. Additionally, the company is planning to conduct core re-logging, mapping, and soil and rock geochemical surveying at its Atlin Goldfields project. At the Hog Heaven project, which is operated by High Power Exploration, core relogging was recently completed and a Typhoon geophysical survey is planned. We expect exploration work, largely at Thorn, to drive news flow for Brixton through the remainder of 2021 and offer the potential for a re-rating upon positive results. Read more
