CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (TSXV:CVV, BUY (S), David A. Talbot) has staked 28,328 ha of claims in the western Athabasca Basin. The new property, known as the Taggart project, is located 60km NE of the Triple R and Arrow uranium deposits that together host 472.6M lb in U3O8 resources and along the mineralized Patterson Lake corridor, host to multiple high-grade discoveries. The project contains uranium lake sediment anomalies, diabase-related structures in sandstone and interpreted hydrothermal alteration zones. Compilation work conducted indicates that the Patterson Lake corridor trends on to the project area. CanAlaska is continuing further compilation work and has indicated that it is seeking joint venture partners to advance the project forward. CanAlaksa has a well-diversified exploration portfolio and it continues to advance multiple uranium and nickel projects in the prolific Athabasca Basin and the Thompson Nickel Belt; some of these include West McArthur, Cree East, Key Extension, Waterbury South, and the Hunter project.
