CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (TSXV:CVV, BUY (S), David A. Talbot) announced that it has obtained 100% ownership of the Key Extension project in the southeastern Athabasca basin. Durama Enterprises Ltd. (Private) retains a 1.5% NSR royalty on the project. Two adjacent claims, already owned by CanAlaska, have been added to the Key Extension project to create a contiguous 13,707 ha block. Results have also been received from the winter 2023 drill program there, which focused on testing newly defined geophysical targets (read notable). Highlight results include: 1) 0.013% U₃O₈ over 3.0m and 0.013% U₃O₈ over 6.0m (KEY007) and 2) 0.05% U₃O₈ over 0.3m (KEY010). The two holes were drilled within 500m of each other and intersected mineralization within clay altered granite immediately below a faulted and altered graphitic pelitic package. These features are prospective for basement hosted uranium mineralization. Additionally, Basin Energy (ASX:BSN, Not Rated) has fulfilled the conditions to achieve a 60% interest in the Geikie project and has elected to proceed to earn up to an 80% interest in the project, where an 1,800 line km airborne gravity survey is ongoing (read notable).
