CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (TSXV:CVV, BUY (S), David A. Talbot) announced its acquisition of the Constellation project, covering 11,143 ha in the southeastern Athabasca basin ~60km south of the Key Lake mine and mill complex. The company aims to seek strategic partners to advance this project as a part of its project generation business. Reconnaissance scale geophysical surveys in the 1960s and 1970s identified EM conductors associated with magnetic lows. Later, prospecting identified outcrop-hosted high-grade uranium mineralization ~10km south along-trend from the property boundary, with grab samples grading up to 2.787% U3O8 and 4.60% U3O8. The project is believed to host structural features necessary to create conduits and traps for hydrothermal activity and the deposition of uranium. Additionally, drilling at the 82.03%-owned West McArthur, where assays recently confirmed winter 2023 high-grade gamma-ray logging results (read note), is ongoing. Read more
