Cerrado Gold Inc. (TSXV:CERT) – Stream Buyback Reclaims Full Asset Exposure

Impact: Slightly Positive

Cerrado (CERT)announced the repurchase of 100% of the Sprott streaming agreements over its producing Minera Don Nicolas (MDN) mine in Argentina and its 80%-owned Lagoa Salgada Project in Portugal, for ~US$31.34M, CERT paid ~US$11.34M upfront, which includes US$8M in cash and 3M shares, with US$20M deferred across two non-interest-bearing cash payments due October 6, 2026, and January 4, 2027. The company is currently considering the potential to create its own streaming vehicle, which may include exposure to its own assets and potential third-party streams. This could further enhance shareholder value given the market premium offered to streaming vehicles relative to operating companies. The stream repurchase maximizes shareholder exposure to asset upside at MDN and Lagoa Salgada and increases Cerrado’s financial flexibility.
