Compass Gold Corp. reported drill results from its 100%-owned Sikasso property in Mali. Its initial shallow aircore (AC) drilling program is designed to test multiple targets on the company’s large (867km2) land package. Drilling was conducted on the Massala West, Massala Main, Orange Grove, Assama and the Sodala prospects. The strongest results came from Massala West, where gold mineralization has been confirmed along a new 1.6km section. This raises the total confirmed mineralized trend at Massala West up to 4.2km, and it is open for expansion along strike both to the north and south. Drilling encountered gold mineralization at Sodala, but did not intercept significant mineralization at Massala Main, Orange Grove, and Assama. We believe these are positive results, as they help delineate a sizeable zone for further work at Massala West.
