E3 Metals Corp. (TSXV:ETMC, Not Rated, Koby Kushner) announced key management changes, including the appointment of Mr. John Pantazopoulos as Chairperson of the company’s board. Mr. Pantazopoulos has been a director of E3 since November 2020 and served as the former CFO in an interim capacity. On the management front, E3 announced that Ms. Liz Lappin has stepped down from her role as VP of Corporate Affairs and Exploration, though she is expected to continue assisting the company in an advisory role. Concurrently, the company has made several internal promotions, including Joanie Kennedy as Geology Manager, Peter Ratzlaff as Director of Resource Development, and Chris Ward as Director of Projects. The company also hinted that it will be announcing a Director of Corporate Strategy this quarter. We believe the new appointments should help drive E3’s near-term objectives pertaining to the development of its 100%-owned Clearwater Li brine project in Alberta. With initial testing from the laboratory pilot plant prototype showing excellent results (read more), management is looking to proceed with a field-based pilot plant testing program, which is expected to be built by Mr. Ward’s team. Meanwhile, Mr. Ratzlaff’s team is looking to drill and test the first Li wells in Alberta and deliver a resource update, where we expect partial conversion of the ~7Mt inferred resource into the M&I categories ahead of a PFS. Commercial production is scheduled for 2025-26, with a targeted annual production of at least 20,000t LCE. Read more
