Impact: Mildly Positive
Goliath reported visual observations from hole GD-24-237 completed as a part of its ongoing 15,000m drill program at its Golddigger property in the Golden Triangle of BC. The hole intersected abundant VG, galena and sphalerite in four strongly mineralized intercepts of dense quartz-sulphide breccia, stockwork and veining. The highlight intercept was a 47m-wide zone of intense sphalerite (2%), pyrrhotite (1%), and pyrite (2%) within the Lower Hazelton volcanic unit. The intervals collectively measure 105m and are some of the densest veining, stockwork and breccia observed to date at the project. Like hole -235 drilled previously (read notable), it also intersected an intermediate intrusive unit containing VG, molybdenite and bismuth, which indicates the potential for a deeper feeder source of porphyry mineralization. Drilling is planned to follow up on these results. We view these observations as a mild positive for Goliath as they could potentially suggest the deep mineralization at the Golden Gate zone could expand. It also provides further evidence for the possibility of a deeper feeder source for large porphyry-style mineralization beyond the 10 mineralized veins considered in our 2.6-3.8M oz AuEq mineral inventory estimate (read initiation report). We look forward to the assays and further visual results.
