IsoEnergy Ltd. (TSXV:ISO, BUY, C$8.00 target, David A. Talbot) announced that it has begun its 30-hole summer drill program (9,825m) at its Larocque East and East Rim projects in the eastern Athabasca Basin. Drilling plans are to follow up on a successful winter exploration program in which low-velocity ANT anomalies and ground EM surveys identified new conductive corridors (read notable). At Larocque East, 27 holes (8,775m) are planned to test positive alteration results in Target Area A, and new prospects that were identified in Target Areas B, C, and D (map). At East Rim, three reconnaissance holes (1,050m) are expected to test coincident geophysical anomalies on the eastern edge of the Athabasca Basin, located ~45km east of Cameco’s (TSX:CCO, Not Rated) McArthur mine (map). Radiometric, magnetic and ANT surveys are also planned on its Cable, Evergreen, Rapid River, 2Z, and Madison projects. Additionally, ISO announced that it has acquired the Bulyea River uranium project on the northern edge of the Basin (map), and it plans to commence initial exploration at Bulyea in 2024. We look forward to the results from drilling at Larocque East and East Rim as, in our view, the winter exploration program has helped Iso to identify specific areas with conductors, faults and alterations that are more likely to host mineralization.
