Labrador Uranium Inc. (CSE:LUR) – Notable News

February 23, 2023

Labrador Uranium Inc. (CSE:LUR, BUY, C$1.20 target, David A. Talbot) has completed the initial phase of regional exploration targeting over its Central Mineral Belt (CMB) project in central Labrador. The company successfully used machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques on aeromagnetic, radiometric and geological data over the entire project to reduce targeting risk over the project at an early stage and has identified targets for further ground truthing work. Significantly, the validation process confirmed that the algorithm had a high success rate in predicting known mineralization, providing confidence that other priority target areas may yet host unknown mineralization. Initial results predict mineralization in the vicinity of the Moran Lake trend, where a recent ~2,200m drilling program intersected mineralization beyond the boundaries of the historical resource estimate along with grades higher than historical grades of 0.034% U3O8 (read more). Labrador Uranium has spent a great deal of effort in preparing its large, regional-scale land package for brownfield exploration testing. The extra time spent creating targets may help reduce cost and time in the discovery or identification of further mineralization in the Central Mineral Belt, an extensive 260km × 70km region with several large uranium deposits and hundreds of known Cu, U, Ag, Au, REE, Fe and Mo showings. The company also announced the appointment of Mr. Dean Courage as Exploration Manager. Mr. Courage has worked as an exploration geologist in Australia, Finland and Canada for 15 years, including for three years at Crosshair Exploration drilling the C-Zone uranium deposit now owned by Labrador. The company remains well funded (read more) for its 2023 exploration programs focused on 1) near term U-V resource growth drilling at both Moran Lake and Anna Lake, and 2) regional targeting, gravity survey and project generation work using Machine Learning to help target uranium and copper along the Mustang Lake trend near Michelin and elsewhere in the CMB project.
