Lake Resources NL (ASX:LKE, BUY, A$3.00 target, David A. Talbot) has appointed Mark Anning as Head of Legal, Australia and Company Secretary, and transitioned Stu Crow to the role of Non-Executive Chairman on its Board of Directors. Mr. Anning’s appointment will be effective on January 9, 2023, and Mr. Peter Nielsen will step down as Company Secretary and remain Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Anning has 30 years in legal and corporate practice and has specialized in corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, risk management, and corporate governance. He has also practiced at the Partner level in private practice, and in-house for numerous ASX and NASDAQ listed companies in positions reporting to the CEO and Chair. Meanwhile, Mr. Crow will transition to the Non-Executive Chairman role after being appointed to temporary Executive Chairman in June 2022 (read more), where he oversaw the appointment of a new CEO, board members, and establishment of US offices. Overall, we view these appointments positively as the company continues to strengthen its management team and board, which should help steer it through to the next phase of development as it continues to de-risk its flagship Kachi project with recent offtakes and initial production from the demo plant (read here and here).
