Lithium Sector Update – Chinese October Battery Demand Surges the Most Since June

The surge for stationary storage battery back-up moves at an ever-faster clip, with Chinese battery production surging to an all-time high of 170.7 GWh in October, rising 51.1% vs October 2024. LFP production hit a whopping 137 GWh, the highest this year and even NMC cell production of 33.7 GWh saw the second highest YOY growth rate this year at 43.4%.
