Monarca Minerals Inc. (TSXV:MMN, BUY, C$0.40, Taylor Combaluzier) reported that Mr. Carlos Espinosa, the company’s CEO and President, has resigned from his role effective March 4, 2022. The company’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Paul Ténière as Interim President and CEO of Monarca. We note that he has held the position of Director since 2019. Mr. Ténière is a geologist with over 20 years of diverse experience in the mining and oil and gas sectors in North America and internationally, and he has continued to participate in the advancement of projects from the exploration to mine development stages. Previously, Mr. Ténière was a mining expert and Senior Listings Manager at the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange, Chief Geologist for Sherritt International Corp. (TSX:S, Not Rated), and an Exploration Manager for Vale S.A. (BOVESPA:VALE3, Not Rated) and Solid Energy New Zealand. Going forward, Mr. Espinosa will remain a board member of Monarca, and the company should continue to benefit from his extensive network and expertise in Mexico and Latin America. Read more
