NexGen Energy (NXE) announced that it has completed its provincial environmental assessment (EA) technical review process and submission of the Final Provincial Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment (ENV) for its 100%-owned Rook I uranium project, located in the Athabasca Basin. In our view, this provincial permitting news is a major milestone for NexGen Energy. It puts the Government on the clock during a short 30-day comment period, after which time the Minister is anticipated to render a decision on whether Rook I has met all the criteria to gain its Provincial environmental license. We anticipate the upcoming permitting-related announcements to be very strong drivers for the stock.
