Orex Minerals Inc. (TSXV:REX, BUY (S), Koby Kushner) has resumed diamond drilling on its 40%-owned, ~7,000 ha Sandra Ag-Au project in Durango, Mexico. The project is being advanced in a JV with Pan American Silver (TSX:PAAS, Not Rated), the owner of the remaining 60% interest. The 2022 drill program is planned in multiple phases, with Phase 1 expected to comprise ~2,500-3,000m of drilling, following up on the bonanza-grade samples that have been reported in areas untested by prior drilling. The Sandra project saw >10,000m of drilling in 2011 and 2015-16, which resulted in an inferred resource of 33.3M oz Ag at the Boleras deposit in the southeastern part of the project. Given its favourable geometry and near-surface nature, the deposit has the potential to be mined with a low strip ratio (<1:1). Sandra represents one of two Mexican Ag-Au projects being advanced by Orex, with the other being the Coneto project, also in Durango. Read more
