Sterling Metals Corp. (TSXV:SAG, BUY (S), Taylor Combaluzier) has commenced a 2,000m inaugural diamond drill program at its 100%-owned Adeline Cu-Ag project in Labrador, Canada. The drill program aims to test the Ellis Main prospect, which recently had trenching work and past historical work that encountered the strongest mineralization to date of 1.76% Cu and 56.2 g/t Ag over 7.9m (SL-11-10) and was intercepted on trend from a surface trench of 2.5% Cu and 94.3 g/t Ag over 4.5m. The Ellis Main prospect is exposed in a series of 11 trenches along the western end of Seal Lake. In addition to the Ellis target, multiple targets exist within the 4km x 7km basin. These targets continue to be advanced through a compilation and analysis of previous exploration data, re-logging of available core on site and in Goose Bay, and new fieldwork. Since acquiring the project in March, the company has compiled several data sets that should assist with further exploration, including a hyperspectral study that confirmed Ellis as the primary target and providing support for other secondary targets and new priority areas of interest.
