Tectonic Metals Inc. (TSXV:TECT, Not Rated, Timothy Lee) announced initial results from its 2021 mapping and sampling campaign, which identified a 450m long high-grade gold anomaly at the Jorts target on the company’s Tibbs Au project in Alaska. Grab samples from the target returned gold values of up to 50.3 g/t Au, with 11 rock samples grading greater than 20 g/t Au. Mineralization here is similar to the localized high-grade gold-bismuth-tungsten mineralization at Kinross Gold’s (TSX:K, Not Rated) Fort Knox gold mine near Fairbanks. The high-grade grab rock samples appeared to be within a significant northeast-trending structural zone which hosts Northern Star Resources’ (ASX:NST, Not Rated) neighboring Brink Gold zone. Furthermore, Tectonic announced it has mobilized a second drill to site for immediate follow up with 1,200m of RC drilling planned in the Jorts target area. The additional 2,500m of RC drilling planned for other high priority targets at Tibbs has been extended to October 2021. For more information on the Tibbs property and other drill targets identified by the company, please see our initiation report. We believe Tectonic is favorably positioned, especially amongst its peers, with highly prospective projects in a prolific mining district, a team with a stellar track record, a strong partnership with its local Native regional corporations, and further exploration results at several targets which are expected to help drive its stock.
