Westhaven Gold released the final drill results for the Certes target at its flagship Shovelnose project in south central BC. A total of six targets were drilled at Certes – all of which intersected anomalous Au pathfinder elements. The best result was returned from the Certes 3 target area: 0.69 g/t Au, 2.76 g/t Ag and 5% Zn over 1.74m from 286.9m downhole (SN24-425). The drilling confirmed a potentially preserved epithermal system extending over 2.1km of strike length and open at depth. In our view, the 2024 drill program at Shovelnose was an important step to improve the geological understanding of the 11km corridor that extends across south-central part of the property. We believe the stage has been set for future drill programs to potentially home in on epithermal mineralization and make additional discoveries. We continue to believe that the Shovelnose property has the potential to eventually become a multimillion-ounce gold camp. Drilling is anticipated to resume in Q1/2025. We also expect Westhaven to continue executing on its parallel plans to advance Shovelnose (both exploration and development) with an updated MRE and PEA incorporating the FMN and Franz zones (in addition to the South Zone) in Q1/2025.
