Aris Mining Corp. (TSX:ARIS, BUY, C$11.25 target, Taylor Combaluzier) has appointed Ms. Mónica de Greiff as an independent member of its Board of Directors, and as Chair of the Sustainability Committee of the Board. She was previously a board member at GCM Mining and has held several public roles, including that of Colombian Ambassador to Kenya, Minister of Justice, and Vice Minister of Mines and Energy. She is also a former board member of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. We believe her experience would likely help Aris sustainably advance its Colombian operations and that she would provide additional valuable insight on the Government of Colombia for the company.
