Impact: Positive
Defiance Silver announced assays from six holes drilled as a part of its 2023 drill program at the San Acacio concessions of its Zacatecas Ag project in Mexico. Four infill holes drilled within the Almaden zone in the northwestern part of the Veta Grande vein system intersected shallow Ag-polymetallic (Pb-Zn-Au-Cu) mineralization within areas of historical workings. Two exploratory holes were drilled in the San Acacio SE area, with hole -72 returning the deepest intercept of the Veta Grande vein system yet encountered, with 94 g/t AgEq over 1.76m from a down-hole depth of 654m. In our opinion, these are overall positive results, particularly the holes in the Almaden area, which demonstrate the presence of mineralized veins at shallow depths near historic mine workings. The two holes in the SE demonstrate that the vein system continues beyond previous drilling, albeit with lower AgEq grades.
