F3 Uranium Corp. (TSXV:FUU, BUY (S), C$0.60 target, David A. Talbot) announced the completion of a single sonic drill hole at its 50% owned Hearty Bay JV in the Beaverlodge area of the NW Athabasca Basin, where its JV partner is earning up to a 70% interest. The drill program was suspended early due to unsafe ice conditions on Lake Athabasca, with the winter ice road closing sooner than expected. The sonic drill hole allowed the recovery of till for the first time beneath the lake, indicating less depositional disturbance than previously assumed. As per management, this discovery suggests the possibility of using subglacial till sampling to trace uraniferous till dispersion under the lake back to the source of historic high-grade boulder trains on Isle Brochet (map). F3 also plans to conduct a constrained inversion of ground gravity and VLF EM data collected earlier, to provide a structural interpretation for future drill programs. Read more
