Impact: Positive
Lake Resources reported drill results from hole K24D41 at its Kachi Li brine project in Argentina. The hole was drilled at the southern zone of the central core resource area, up to a depth of 610m, which is deeper than the current resource which extends up to 400m deep. Brines returned average grades of 267 mg/L from depths ranging from 166-610m. This is the second hole which has confirmed the presence of Li-bearing brines within deeper zones beyond 400m, the first one being K23D40 (read notable). Overall, these results bode well for further growth of the current 8.1Mt LCE resource and are expected to help develop hydrogeological models for the injection and extraction of brines ahead of the Phase 1 DFS planned for later this year.
