Impact: Positive
Patriot Battery Metals announced that drilling at the at its 100%-owned Corvette property in Quebec has encountered a new zone of near-surface high-grade mineralization at the CV-13 pegmatite. Outcrops of the CV-13 pegmatite extend for 2.3km and drilling has not only brought the length for which the mineralization has been drill traced there to 1.1km but also reduced the gap between it and the CV5 pegmatite, which is located ~3.15km away (read notable) and hosts the largest hard rock Li resource in the Americas (read note). Finding additional high-grade, near-surface Li mineralization on the property is a strong positive. We do believe that many of these existing pegmatite outcrop areas will combine together once drilling has been completely, adding considerably to that already impressive existing resource base at Corvette. These higher grade pods, particularly this one that is nice and shallow, do lend themselves to be a potential starter pit. Prior metallurgical test work suggested that the mineralization at CV13 is very similar to that in CV5 and in that Patriot might be able to use a similar flowsheet for processing both.
