Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (TSXV:PMET, BUY, C$22.00 target, David A. Talbot) has submitted its Preliminary Information Statement with the Quebec Government for its 100%-owned Corvette Li-pegmatite project in the James Bay region. This represents the first step in the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process. The next step will be to carry out an impact study for the project. Additionally, Patriot has also prepared a project description that is ready to be filed with the Canadian Government but is now awaiting clarification on next steps for the federal process. We note that the Corvette project is highlighted by the largest spodumene pegmatite in the Americas, known as CV5, where Patriot recently reported an initial mineral resource outlining 109.2Mt at 1.42% Li2O and 160 ppm Ta2O5 in inferred resources (at a cut-off grade of 0.4% Li2O) (read note) (map).
